From July through January, the trade winds blow consistently over a warm, open sea, making this stretch of the Brazilian coastline one of the most sought-after kitesurfing destinations in the world.
It was this same wind that shaped Casa Siará: a kite center just steps from the rooms, an in-house kite school, and a daily rhythm that flows naturally between time on the water and time off it.
Here, kitesurfing is not just a sport. It is how Preá greets the people who come to find it.
The Waters of Preá
The water is open ocean, sandy-bottomed, free of rocks and hazards, with waves ranging from flat to head-high depending on the tide.
The side-onshore wind — the local maral — creates reliable conditions across all skill levels. And when it’s time to explore further, Preá opens the door to flat-water lagoons nestled between the dunes and the Guriú River.

Kite School
Our instructors hold IKO and ABK certifications.
Lessons · From zero to full Independence, equipment and a dedicated instructor with you at every step of the learning curve.
Supervision · For riders who are already flying and want to build confidence in the water, with an instructor watching your session from the beach and offering real-time guidance.
Coaching · For advanced riders looking to push their riding and fine-tune technique, with one-on-one instruction on the beach or in the water, and constant communication via radio.

Spot Conditions
High Season · July to January
Predominantly side-onshore winds, typically ranging from 12 to 35 knots, with strong consistency throughout the season.
Skies are generally clear, water temperature sits between 25°C and 28°C, and wave height varies with the tide and daily conditions.
Sessions typically run from 11am to 6pm.
Shoulder Season · February to June
Winds generally between 10 and 20 knots, with more variation in both strength and frequency.
Rain is possible — usually brief and isolated — and the sea tends to be calmer. Water temperature stays comfortable, between 24°C and 28°C.
Sessions typically start later, between 1pm and 5pm, always subject to conditions on the day.
